Session Title: Prosthodontics Update 2020: How to plan for lifetime oral health using Evidence-based Conservative Prosthodontics

Presenter: Hai Qing, DMD, MDS, PhD

Description: Do we treat our families differently than we treat patients? What factors will influence the decision making process? This session will share current evidence from conservative prosthodontics, including adhesive dentistry, as well as conservative implant design and restoration.

Learning Objectives:

After participating in this session, participants will be able to:

1) Understand the various concept of conservative dentistry.

2) Understand in-depth of the evidence-based indications, treatment planning, procedures, prognosis and maintenance of dental implant restoration.

Presenter Bio: Dr. Qing DDS, MDS, PhD is a Diplomat of American Board of Prosthodontics, Private practitioner at Bucks Dental Health and Esthetics, New Britain, PA; Adjunct Assistant Professor in the advanced Prosthodontics Program at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research/clinical work at international meetings in the field of prosthodontics and bone biology. Dr. Qing also serves as a manuscript reviewer for several dental academic journals such as Journal of Prosthodontics, JOMI, Open Dental Journal, European Journal of Oral Sciences, etc. He earned his DDS in 2003. In 2009, he achieved his PhD in Bone biology at the Sichuan University and University of Missouri-Kansas City. He completed his postgraduate specialty training in Prosthodontics from Eastman Institute for Oral Health University of Rochester, NY, USA.
