Who HealthLink Serves
HealthLink provides free care to low-income, working adults with household incomes at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. All patients are residents of Bucks or Montgomery County.
Why HealthLink Serves Them
Dental care for low-income adults is an unmet need in our community. More than one quarter (27%) of residents in our two county service area did not see a dentist in the last year. Those people living below 200% of the poverty level were 51% less likely than those above this level. Oral health and overall health are interconnected. Poor oral health can affect a diabetic’s blood glucose levels and has even been proven to contribute to increased risk of heart disease, arthritis, and stroke.
How You Can Help
HealthLink’s operating budget is funded entirely by charitable contributions from the community. Gifts of all sizes can have a tremendous impact on those served by the clinic. To the right is a list of the estimated value of typical services provided to HealthLink patients free of charge.
