Eat These, Not Those (For Your Teeth's Sake)


March - being National Nutrition Month - seems like a great opportunity to talk about the effect of your food choices on yoru dental health.

We are all aware that sugar is harmful to our teeth, but did you know that these other foods are detrimental too?

Foods To Avoid Or Limit

Ice (if you chew it)

Citric fruits and juices

Too much coffee

Alcohol

Sticky foods, like dried fruit

While those food and beverages should be avoided (or limited), these foods are actually beneficial to your dental health.

Foods To Boost Your Dental Health

Water (especially flouridated)

Dairy products

Fruits and vegatables (minus citrus fruits)

Nuts
