Earn More Money & Still Be Eligible for Free Dental Care in 2017

The federal government's Department of Health & Human Services has released the 2017 Federal Poverty Guidelines. This update means that the income eligibility guidelines to become receive free dental care at HealthLink has also changed. How are these guidelines determined? According to the HHS, they are "calculated by taking the 2015 Census Bureau’s poverty thresholds and adjusting them for price changes between 2015 and 2016 using the Consumer Price Index (CPI-U)." How have the guidelines changed since last year? The guidelines have increased, meaning that households can earn more money in 2017 and be considered under the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Looking Back at 2016

2016 was the organization's first full year as HEALTHLINK DENTAL CLINIC and its 15th year since opening its doors in 2001. Last year, 1,779 patients visited the clinic for a total of 2,662 appointments. This represents about a 35% increase from 2015. HealthLink provided an array of preventative and restorative dental services to its patients: 1,534 fillings 791 cleanings 507 x-rays 293 deep cleanings 258 new patient exams 240 extractions 95 root canals 11 crowns $720,853 in oral health services were provided in 2016 at HealthLink Dental Clinic.
